Research: Dysregulation of lipid metabolism pathways in host macrophages contributes to the pathology of numerous diseases.  I am currently investigating how the biological activities of lipin-1, a phosphatidate phosphohydrolase that regulates lipid production, contributes to macrophage inflammatory responses that promote atherosclerotic progression.
